Blogged while Nana is here
The holiday season was a blur but was wonderful! We spent Christmas in Atlanta, my dad and Chari came by for a few hours before Christmas. And Aunt Susan and Uncle Mike were here for the main event.
A memory from Feb 1 (that I can barely remember now and it’s only 3 months later): Jason is holding Paxton in the kitchen, Paxton is holding doggie. P says “I love monny” (looking at me) and then says “I love daddy.” Kisses all around. Melt!!!
Another memory from February: Jason takes paxton to school. P is being shy about going in. Two girls and one boy come out of the door saying “Paxton!!!” and giving hugs.
Jason and I took at vacation to the Dominican Republic for 5 days in March. We stayed at the Zoetry Resort – highly recommend – and had a fabulous time. I, of COURSE, was sick for most of the trip but it’s my lot in life nowadays.
Paxton’s Milestones & Notables:
- Second trip to the dentist. Was more fussy this time, but still good, overall.
- Still sick pretty regularly.
- Kicks the ball well.
- Can go up and down the stairs without using a railing. (but definitely SHOULD use the railing.)
- January 2019: says his own name, loves the Happy Birthday song and Old McDonald song.
- Counts to 10!
- Jan 30: “don’t want it!” “go away!”
- Calls me “Monny.”
- Sings the words to Old McDonald.
- Feb: Nana teaches Paxton his last name…Paxton Cooper and P figures out that we all have the same last name, and starts saying our full names: Monny Cooper, Daddy Cooper, Nana Cooper, Grammi Cooper, Minnie Cooper
- March 4: first day of potty training!
- April 4: potty trained! (It was a helluva month though.)
